In android phones you can set your notification sound from music player or from file explorer, but in Samsung phones it's little trickier but its also simple.
It is very easy to set a custom ringtone in your Samsung phone. Firstly you should have your custom notification sound in your device storage then cut and paste it in "internal storage/notification". Now go to Settings > Sounds > Notification, there under custom you can see your notification sound name, click on it and set it as your notification sound.
