Fix "Invalid Debit card information" [Google Pay, Phone pe & other UPI Apps]

Digital transactions are increasing because of its fast, easy and secure payments. Most of the apps developed for online UPI transaction requires certain information to register your account and allow you to make payments. Some time this process will be hassle for you because without pointing the exact issue for the user to understand the problem. One of which is "Invalid Debit card information".

"Invalid Debit card information" is the error you get when you try to registering for UPI account for the first time in your Google pay or similar apps. This error is associated with the your debit card. Before solving  this error you should know whether your debit card is used in ATM or not.

1. If your debit card is new or not used in ATM before.

After you got your Debit card you must use it at least one time in ATM to withdraw money. Even after doing it the problem persisting then try it in the respective bank ATM (If your ATM card is from Bank of Maharastra account then withdraw money from same Bank ATM). So that your ATM card will be verified by the bank and you will be able to register for UPI transactions.

2. If your debit card is old or used in ATM before.

In this case you need go to your bank and describe your issue to the bank officer and they will help you with it. Typically in this case your card will be old, where your card won't have chip and etc. Once you described the issue to them they will sort it out for you by giving you a new card or by enabling your account for online transaction.

In some case the card will be blocked because the account is not changed from minor to major, In such cases visit your branch and change your account to major and also ask them to activate your debit card.
